Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin 1962/1968 - English/Italian text
Quite last work of one of the masters of modernism, the Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin is a famous but quite unknown building. In the time our eyes have used to its dark and enigmatic presence, but its beautiful forms contain also the manifesto of the miesian poetics of truthness and beauty in architecture that won't ever be seen in any photo. The only way to perceive the right sensations is to stay out there or inside it. This is why in this book a sharp 3d model has been built after a direct measurement. Through the complete drawings set, the simple hidden line perspective views and a charming tale, will be possible to understand something that has never seen before.
