Narrative structures for museum design - English/Italian
The major changes recently occurred in the literary, communicative and IT modes of expression have opened up extraordinary possibilities in the field of museum design. As in the case of the philosophical, artistic and educational renewal that had a profound and sensational effect on the museum in the mid twentieth century, we believe that the impact of recent innovations from other disciplines goes beyond their simple instrumental application, thus deeply affecting the core organizational logic of the museum, from its contents to its spaces. This publication fits into this frame and proposes to present, through examples, some operative possibilities of museum designs based on complex narrative models, including non linear structures, open works and hypertexts.
