LECTURES OF ARCHITECTURE
Renzo Zavanella: cantilever "O.M." in the Milan fair. 1948 - Italian/English
The pavilion that Zavanella, an architect of Mantuan origin who carries out most of his professional activity in Milan, builds on behalf of the Officine Meccaniche of Milan is a railway shelter where the so-called “Belvedere”, the OM railcar designed by him, end its maiden voyage during the Milan Fair, in 1948. The OM shelter is composed by a refined balance of constructive elements in tension, in which the dynamism of forms is revealed in one of his most audacious proofs of exhibition architecture. 12 Euro
